FAQ
General
Create an online account with us by providing your email address on the log in page. Once you have your account, you are free to make purchases and checkout like any other online store.
Sure, all gear is kept at the academy and if you order the wrong size, don’t stress! We can always swap out sizes in person.
Yes, we do offer membership pauses. In a 12-month period you can pause your membership 3 separate occasions, totalling 90 days.
No joining, cancellation or payments processing fees.
Fees will be applicable to tournament registrations and federation memberships, should students wish to compete.
When students are to be promoted, a small cost of $25 is applicable. All students receive a new belt and certificate on promotion.
Adult Classes
BJJ is for everyone. No previous experience or level of ability is required.
Students on a trial class may wear a comfortable top with sleeves and loose-fitting bottoms without zips or pockets. Minimum dress code for gi is matching colour gi pants and jacket with a rash guard or shirt underneath. Minimum dress code for nogi is a rash guard and shorts without pockets or zips.
Academy training gear is available on the members store. We have quality training gear at reasonable prices available to our members.

Kids Classes
Parents and guardians are allowed to watch. However, a better learning environment can be facilitated without parents/guardians present. We encourage parents to pick up and drop off their children.

ACADEMY policies
- Wear shoes when off the mat
- Don't train while carrying anything contagious
- Use the change rooms and bag storage utilities
- Don't talk while instruction is being given
Personal hygiene
- Wash your body, feet and uniform before class
- Keep nails trimmed
- Brush your teeth
- Hair dyes to be colour locked
Mat etiquette
- Apply submissions with care
- Don't use flying or jumping submissions or techniques
- Higher ranks students have right of way when rolling
- Don't celebrate submissions
